Napili Coffee Store | Napili, Maui
Coffee first.  I wear that t-shirt too.  Local hangout and your place to get your daily dose of caffeine. Their array of pastries, sandwiches & snacks, make time-saving grab-and-go's.

Baya Bowls | Lahaina, Maui
The obligatory Acai bowls and yummy smoothies.  There's even a number of neighboring food trucks for a quick and delicious meal.

Choice Health Bar | Lahaina, Maui
Vegans!  Your quaint breakfast or lunch spot featuring locally sourced vegan fare, raw entrees & smoothies. Everything is amazing, but you're here for specifics!  Some of my favorites: Buddha Bowl, Healthy Lunch Plate, Desert Sunrise Bowl, Macawow Smoothie, Kombucha on tap, Sparking Coconut Water (zing!), Catalyst shot, Insane Macachino coffee, and their raw oatmeal in the grab and go refrigerator.  

Sale Pepe Pizzeria e Cucina | Lahaina, Maui
I admit, one of my favorites.  See, vegans and pasta eaters can co-habitate a website! Fresh and local ingredients turned into creative presentations. Pastas and artisanal Italian pies crafted by a certified pizzaiola! Only to be paired with a fun, social wine bar atmosphere.

Mama’s Ribs n' Rotisserie | Napili, Maui
Local favorite for a casual, quick and easy lunch or dinner.  Family owned restaurant who really knows their BBQ!  Big fan of their ribs/chicken combo plate.

Sansei | Lahaina, Maui
Everything on this menu is solid. My top vote if you're hankering for sushi.  A few of my favorite things: Panko-crusted Ahi roll, DK Crab Ramen with truffle oil (newest obsession), and the Japanese Calamari salad.

Merriman’s | Kapalua, Maui
Fine dining fare and price, but worth it.  The ocean front location is some of the most stunning in Maui. Nestled on the majestic Kapalua Bay point. Farm to table concept (90% locally sourced) with an award winning menu.  They showcase the island's freshest fish, seafood, meat and produce. The opulent restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, winning sunsets, a modern open-air bar, and ocean front lounge and fire pit.  Take your sunset cocktail hour party here. 

 

Markets

Down to Earth | Kahului, Maui
Local natural food store that offers a variety of natural and organic foods and groceries including dairy products, local organic produce, bulk foods, vitamins, natural supplements, body care products, and household items. And get your deli on with hot food and cold salad bars, fresh juices and smoothies, and their variety of eggless desserts is on fleek!

Mana Foods | Paia, Maui
A bit out of the way, but they make up for your trek as your best option for affordable local & organic produce and food.  Mana is recognized for this.  Their variety of natural, local, and organic products are sold at the best prices Maui has to offer.  Mana houses over 400 local vendors, and strive to support the local business community. Colorful produce aisles boast an average of 50% locally grown and 90% certified organic or unsprayed items.  EVERYTHING about this place is delicious and and healthy.

Farmers Market Maui & Deli | Lahaina, Maui
Quaint, unique, and yes, a more expensive option.  Still your best place on this side of the island to buy local and organic fruits and veggies. Their juice and smoothie bar is on point and their fresh salad & hot bar is made daily.  On your way to the beach or hikes, a perfect snack stop with tasty dips, banana bread, acai bowls, and raw options.
