Nourishing Face Mask (DIY)
This mask is YUM, and yes, I might have even licked my fingers!
I made this recipe for a collaboration with Perfect Bar for Springtime. Did you know all the ingredients in the mask are also ingredients in the bars? Superfoods work best when used both internally and externally. So make sure you are eating your bar with you face mask on!
Makes 2 masks
Ingredients:
½ tsp organic honey
1 tsp green powder of choice (kelp, alfalfa, spinach etc)
¼ tsp apple cider vinegar
½ tsp cold pressed olive oil
In a glass container, add ingredients and mix thoroughly. With clean hands, cover entire face. The areas that burn a bit are where you need it, leave on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with a face towel using warm water.
Benefits of Ingredients:
Raw organic honey has been shown to have antibacterial properties, helping acne by killing bacteria. Honey also absorbs oily skin, helping with inflammation.
Olive oil contains antioxidants that help add moisture and protect the skin and also helping remove free radicals which do damage to the skin by aging us!
Apple Cider Vinegar has antibacterial properties, balances the skin PH similar to an expensive toner, and also helps tightening pores.
